Tonto Dike risks up to 15years imprisonment!!!

                                                               

Tonto Dike has received reports that her posts of Marijuana on her instagram page, has attracted the NDLEA spokesman Mr Mitchell Ofoyejus of Nigeria and faces a possibility of up to 15years imprisonment. She has denied the allegations, and blames it on a Fan saying He or She had posted the pictures.

The spokesman explains “Our attention has been drawn to the post, quite frankly and I can tell you that action will be taken on it. The law is clear and NDLEA has been very clear on the issue. No one is permitted to sell, use, cultivate or encourage the use of Indian hemp in Nigeria. The weed is one of the banned narcotics in the country.

“NDLEA Act Section 14 (b) states that any person who conspires with, aids, abets, counsels, attempts to commit or is an accessory to any act or offence referred to in this act shall be guilty of an offence under this act and liable on conviction to be sentenced to imprisonment for a term not less than 15 years and not exceeding 25 years.

Nigerian singers like P-squared and Iyanya raise funds for OJB!!!

                              

 

P-squared and family(The Okoye's), along with other singers like Iyanya, raise funds for OJB's kidney transplant. P-squared and family visited OJB and gave him N5,000,000 as donation to the procedure. While Iyanya's representative gave him N1,000,000.

                              

This goes a long way to the whooping $50,000 needed, which according to Actress Juliet Ibrahim, it is what is actually needed for the surgery, not $100,000 as earlier suggested. We hear as at Yesterday that the Nigerian Government has put restrictions or stopped the raising of these funds for fear of opportunistic behaviours.

Nelson Mandela's condition is stable says Winnie Mandela!!!

 



 

Nelson Mandela the anti-apartheid revolutionary, politician who served his country South Africa from 1994 to 1995, now 94years old, had fallen ill to a lung infection, and was hospitalised. Mandela's ex-wife, Winnie Mandela explained to the press some hours ago about his condition. She explained that she is not a Doctor so can't discuss his medical condition, but she can say, he is better and stable compared to some days ago. In a question about what would happen when Obama visits Pretoria-South Africa, "would he visit Mandela", she said she has no idea, but the focus and prayers should be towards Mandela's recovery and then thanked the press.

Tonto Dike says "I smoke weed while my haters smoke Gossip"

 

Nigeria's most controversial actress Tonto Dikeh, has surprised the public with her posts on her instagram page today, "Mi smoke gaja, mi smoke weed while my haters smoke gossip". She seemed to have an unusual expression on her face(see above), and her fans express concerns about her well being. She had posted some photo about something wrapped in a paper and the other photo of something like a drug, Marijuana she called it.

She had recently fallen on stage on the 9th of June, at her London performance with Iyanya, she looked like she had great difficulty composing herself during her performance and was escorted off the stage by the MC. See video below, after the jump break...............so sad!!!

Nigeria's Pop Star Ayo Balogun, popularly known as "Wiz Kid" after crashing his N50,000,000 sports car at the GET Arena in Lekki Lagos has bought a new one. During the crash, his tyre got burst and his car skidded off the road. He was actually hospitalised as a result of a minor concussion. The Music star and composer OJB Jezreel needs a kidney transplant, as he has suffered kidney failure. He explains to Encomium magazine, that "it started with a renal failure and then my kidneys stopped functioning properly, the Doctors say I have 8 to 10 weeks to get a transplant or the odd happens" He pleads with the public saying " I have spent N5,000,000 already. I thank God, I can still walk around a little but can't eat much".

 I beg the public to give me $100,000, which when converted to the current exchange rate in Naira is the sum N15,500,000.

A break through in cancer research with tamoxifen!!!

 

 

Thousands of women who are at risk of developing breast cancer are to be offered a new drug "Tamoxifen or raloxifen" on the NHS in the United Kingdom. This is a big break through in the research for a cure to cancer research, what a relief as this means up to 500,000 women in England and Wales would have a choice other than mastectomy. The Scottish Government says it will offer Tamoxifen to women at risk such as those who have had two or more family members with breast cancer. Statistics indicate that one in five women who fall ill to breast cancer have a family link e.g if either a sister, mother, Aunt, Grand mother has had it. Star Actress Angelina Jolie had a mastectomy performed in may this year, because she believed she was at risk as a carrier of the BRCA1 gene, her aunt died shortly after her double mastectomy. Tamoxifen is a welcome relief....Whew

Nigeria's 4x100 meters relay team are out of competition...

Nigeria's 100 meters athletes blew their last chance to run at the 4 x 100 meters relay in the World Championships billed for August in Moscow, Russia. This was at the "all Nigerians' championship" in Cross-river, they missed the cut-off mark of 39.0 seconds and instead finished at 39.61 which was even worst than the 39.16 seconds which they did at the relays in Warri sometime back. It is so sad...
